its a toy,
just bought this product, the only way it detects a nail is if you actually put it under it
the instruction says overlap the piece of wood you are scanning
it would take me about 15 min to do 2×4 6 ft long
don’t waste your money.

|Worked great for me.,
Little Wizard did a fine job for me. Found a few nails and some other hardware, saved me a set of planer blades so it paid for itself first time I used it. I also use it for some walnut logs and removed some nails & other metal, kept me from paying for some teeth repair charges at the sawmill. Make sure to do the fine tuning before you use it if you want it to be sensitive enough.
