      This is a good buy for the price,the GOLD DIGGER does what it claims to do.I took it to a local beach in my area i found anything from a penny to aluminum foil,some of the objects was small and about six inches or so deep.You do find a lot of trash but i found it to be very sensitive to objects of all metals when trash eleminator was off,but this way you miss nothing.Also it can detect larger objects at greater depths,it was fun to use and i recommend it to anyone.

      I got this last night and as soon as I woke up this morning.I got it and went in my woods.Within going 30ft I got at least 20 hits! I found stuff such as a babered wire fence, 200 year old nail, and maybe the side of a musket. It works great very easy to assemble and use. I suggest this for anyone intrestead in finding meal items. also it was very easy to learn how use the dials. My brother learned how and he is only 10 and never used anything like a metal decetor.

      It’s an alright detector but it’s not very accurate. I tested it by using an old tin can, Quarter, and a penny, tried all different settings but everything sounded exactly the same. Even used a computer to test sound frequency etc(just in case), all frequencies identical. So if you are looking for a very accurate detector this is not for you.
      If you want something to get started on, this will do the job.

      This review is from: Bounty Hunter QD2GWP Quick Draw II Metal Detector with Pinpointer and Carry Bag (Lawn & Patio)

      The “Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II” (QDII) is a very good, feature rich, mid-priced metal detector. After doing a lot of research for a “real” metal detector as a gift for my teenage son, I found the features for the price made the QDII the clear choice.

      The QDII has features that are generally only found on higher priced units:

      * The LCD screen can indicate what type of metal has been found
      * Indicates approximate depth
      * The Notch Modes work well for filtering out most trash items

      We have really enjoyed using this sensitive and accurate metal detector!

      The included “bonus” items are a Carrying Bag (a little smallish, but functional) and a “Bounty Hunter Pinpoint Pinpointer” (a small metal detector used to help locate items in the ground). Both are good quality and useful to have with the QDII.

      Highly recommended!

      shipped on time important to me. Use product to spend time with daughter and she loves it easy to use, and getting even easier. have not really found to much yet but every time we go out we find a little more. important to me not to discourage her kids need to find those coins or what ever so not to get bored. product is lite and durable no toy here. easy to understand directions even for beginner. nice displays and audio alerts you to buried targets. depeth of target a little off even if you place coil flat on ground not a big deal. I think this product is well worth the money for what you get.

      This review is from: Bounty Hunter QD2GWP Quick Draw II Metal Detector with Pinpointer and Carry Bag (Lawn & Patio)

      The Quickdraw II is a great all-around metal detector. I mostly use it in the “All metal” mode but have also used it to notch out unwanted metals where it performs as advertised. I’ve dug up relics and coins, and the coin ID has been accurate 99 percent of the time. You get used to the different sounds and after a while can guess what metal you’re digging (tab, rusted can, etc). I don’t believe the depth indicator works accurately on mine so I use it as a guide moreso than gospel. Many detector ads tout depth finding ability but how deep do you really need to go? Most of the stuff you’ll find is not down that deep (2-8 inches or so – course your milege may vary). Took it to the beach and was satisfied. In the dry sand, it performed very well (get a good heavy-duty sand scooper for the beach). However, when used too close to the water or in wet sand, the detector gives off numerous false readings as the sodium in the water drives it crazy. To adjust, I turned the sensitivity almost all the way down and was able to use the detector – but doing so sacrifices capability to detect some objects and probably gives up depth. The computer module is not water proof so you probably don’t want to get too close anyway. I purchased the 10-inch coil for the beach and was pleased as it allows coverage of more area in one swipe and penetrates a little deeper. Difficulty with the 10-inch is pin-pointing the location of the object when digging in the earth but not an issue at the beach (much easier to scoop sand than earth). The 8-inch coil that comes with the unit is much better suited for “zeroing in” on your find. Overall, I’m very pleased with the unit and highly recomment it for general purpose metal detecting. If detecting at the beach was my main focus, then I would look for a different detector.
